The world’s most famous university incubators are key to turning scientific results into sustainable and competitive companies. On that track, Center for technology transfer of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Naval Architecture, University of Zagreb (CTT) he opens the door to his Incubator, located in the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and naval architecture (FSB).

CTT incubator it is a stimulating environment for the development of academic entrepreneurship. The aim of the incubator is to encourage the establishment of companies by current and former students and employees of the FSB.

Our mission

Basic mission CTT incubator is to use the results of research and development projects created at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and shipbuilding and partner institutions to create positive social, economic and environmental impact. We want to grow from high-tech solutions stable and long-term sustainable companies, modeled on the world’s leading examples.

We do this through:

We work with academic and student innovators to identify research with value-creating potential and transform it into solutions that contribute to society as a whole, guided by the principles of open and responsive science and innovation.

Terms and conditions

To enter the incubator candidates need:

1. Fill out application form in which they State:
   • Description of innovation / technology, market potential and development strategy.
   • Proof of innovation and technical feasibility (proof of concept or prototype).
   • Team data (at least two members ready for active work).
   • Recommendations from the academic or industrial community (if any).
2. Applications without a completed form will not be considered.

The duration of the incubation

• Standard duration: 3-5 years, with periodic evaluations.
• Periodic evaluations will be conducted once a year., and on their basis, the Commission shall draw conclusions on the extension of the contract and further stay in the incubator.
• The extension is possible based on the results achieved and the commission’s assessment.

Evaluation process

Applications received Evaluation Commission what they do:

• director of CTT,
• vice-dean for scientific research and cooperation with the economy
• vice-dean for business and organization of the FSB.

The commission shall assess innovation, market potential, team, feasibility and cooperation with the FSB and decide on admission to the incubator.
