As of 1.6. until 3.6.2022. CTT together with other project partners participated in the “ZEVinnovation Workshop” Workshop in Bergen, Norway. The workshop was organized by project partner Vinco Consulting, and in addition to project partners, innovators from Croatia and Poland also participated in the workshop. ZEVinnovation is a transnational partnership project in which CTT has a lead partner role. The project aims to establish a sustainable and efficient network for the development of innovative zero-emission vessels and related technologies that will bring together relevant stakeholders. The project is funded by Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway through the EEA and Norway Grants Fund for Regional Cooperation.
The workshop was attended by representatives of some of Norway’s most famous companies, such as Halvard Hauso – Corvus Energy, Leif Stavøstrand – Evoy, Truls Wingsternes – Plug, Tore Solheimslid – Tiotech, Torstein Larsen – Kongsberg, Tomas Fiksdal – Greenstat and Even Husby – Bergen Havn.
In addition to the workshop we had the opportunity to visit the Norwegian company Plug, which in cooperation with ports offers shore power for cruise ships and supply ships.
Plug are 2018. Norway’s second-largest port, Bergen Havn, and the largest electricity company in western Norway, Eviny, were founded in 2015. Shore power offered by Plug has a guarantee of origin (GoO) to ensure that energy comes from renewable energy sources such as hydropower or wind power.
