The project “algorithm for predictive management of building systems”was successfully completed within the call for grants” support to technology transfer offices”, published by the Ministry of Science and education as part of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan 2021. – 2026. (reference number C3. 2.R3-I1. 03). The key result of the project is the successful transfer of technology from the Faculty of mechanical engineering and naval architecture of the University of Zagreb to the newly established spin-off company, which created the basis for further commercialization of the developed technology on the market.

During the implementation of the project Center for technology transfer (CTT) & nbsp;conducted a series of activities aimed at preparing technology for the market. The events included market analysis, development of an intellectual property management strategy, state-of-the-art research, preparation of a business plan and commercialization model, as well as the creation of organizational and business requirements for the creation of spin-off companies.

The creation of spin-off companies represents an important step in strengthening the ecosystem of technology transfer and knowledge-based entrepreneurship. Consequently, research results allow us to leave the academic environment and their application in economics, create new opportunities for cooperation with industry and the development of innovative products and services..
This project further confirmed the role of the technology transfer center as a key supporting organization in the process of commercialization of knowledge, protection of intellectual property and establishment of academic spin-off companies, thus contributing to strengthening the innovation capacity of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and shipbuilding of the University of Zagreb and the Croatian economy.
