SEMINAR pressure measurement-basics of measurement and calibration
DATE OF RELEASE: 21.-22. October 2025

Seminar holder: CTT-FSB Zagreb

THE PURPOSE AND CONTENT OF THE SEMINAR

The purpose of the workshop for participants is to provide a solid foundation from pressure measurement to the Technical and Legal Chamber of Weights and Measures – from basic concepts and certification of measurement reports, published requirements to practical measurements, calibration and evaluation of measuring systems – in order for the criteria to be used correctly and the results interpreted in accordance with relevant standards.

Learning outcomes – after the seminar, students will be able to:

  • explain the basic concepts, definitions and units of pressure measurement;
  • distinguish between the types of pressure sensors and the principles of their operation;
  • Calibrate pressure sensors (pressure scales and other etalonima) using appropriate correction;
  • estimate the measurement uncertainty of pressure measurement and include it in the overall calibration uncertainty;
  • read and interpret calibration certificates / certificates and use the results in practice;
  • meet the requirements of the standard (e.g. ISO / IEC 17025, HRN EN ISO/IEC 17020, HRN EN ISO15189) related to technical competence, measurement traceability and staff education.

The Seminar is designed:

  • employees of testing and testing laboratories, inspection and certification bodies,
  • expert assessors,
  • manufacturers and dealers of measuring equipment.
