Temperature measurement is of importance in all laboratories, where tests involve temperature measurement, and the results of tests depend on the temperature at which they are carried out or the temperature at which the samples are stored.
Inspection bodies often determine the temperature of the inspection items or the premises in which they are stored. Thermometers of different shapes, dimensions and operating principles are used. Thermometers should be moderate, and calibration contracting entities should understand the results expressed in the moderators in order to be able to use thermometers correctly.
The measurement uncertainty of temperature measurement should be included in the assessment of the overall uncertainty of the test. The requirements on the technical competence of measurement, measurement traceability and measurement uncertainty and for the permanent training of personnel placed before laboratories and other conformity assessment bodies are defined:
Ocjenitelji HAA should be familiar with the basics of temperature measurement and assessment of its measurement uncertainty in order to properly assess the capabilities of laboratories or conformity assessment bodies, taking into account the requirements of the standards.
